錦山窯に伝わる名品の中に「色絵花詰手飾皿」があります。四季折々の花々が百花繚乱と咲き乱れ、金彩が施されている華麗な大皿です。そよ風が吹き、良い香りが漂い、蝶々が舞い踊っている様子を想像させるこの飾皿は、雪深い北陸の長い冬の間、春を待ちわびる職人の思いの結晶なのでしょうか。今回は、その中から薔薇、木槿、紫陽花、躑躅などを拾い上げ、天から舞い落ちてくるかのようにデザインにしてみました。
